Apothecary Birthday

 Hello All!
I wanted to share one of the cards we made at my upline meeting this month.  I just LOVE how it turned out!  (thanks Cindy for designing it!)  All the products except the paper are from the new Occasions Mini Catalog.  I am so getting the new Framelits Labels dies that were used to cut out the labels with the matching Apothecary Art stamp set.  The Pleated Satin Ribbon is just beautiful and so easy to add to any project!  The Cherry Cobbler Dazzling Details really makes the flowers pop right of the card.  And using the Perfect Polka Dots embossing folder with the Vintage Wallpaper embossing folder add so much dimension and interest.  The colors of card stock used are Blushing Bride and Cherry Cobbler and the sponging and image are done in Soft Suede

Remember that we have started our Sale-A-Bration promotion, so when you order $50 (before tax and shipping), you will have earned a FREE item from the Sale-A-Bration brochure!! Sniff, Sniff....

Today's post is one I have been wanting to do for a while.  I finished it this morning, just in time actually!  I am home feeling a little under the weather today.  Which also happens to be poor, rain turning to snow.  I saw this tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers and had to try it.  It was pretty easy to do if you follow the directions (do a search for tissue box covers), so give one a try!

I used Stampin' Up! DSP Paisley Petals and the Big Shot Dies Little Leaves and Fun Flowers.  The Bravo Burgundy trim is punched with the Eyelet Boarder Punch.  I also used the Boho Blossoms punch for the smaller More Mustard and Marina Mist flowers.  The center of the larger flower is an Antique Brad.  Non-SU product are the pearls, which were made with pearl pens from viva decor, and the ovals are cut out using nestabilities from spell binders.

Thanks for stopping by today, and if you live in the Great Lakes region, be careful today and tomorrow!

New Year!

  Hello Everyone!
I can't believe it has been this long since I posted!  Shame on me!  My life hasn't allowed me to blog lately, even though I have been creating all along.  Most of the projects that I had been doing were Christmas related, so I will not share those, because we have new and exciting things to talk about!  First being a NEW CATALOG!!  The Occasions Mini Catalog launch on Jan 4 and is full of must have items!  My favs are the new Framelits Dies, Edgelits Dies, and coordinating Textured Impressions Embossing Folders, all to be used with the Big Shot.  Anything that I can use to add that little something and use it over and over again is tops in my book!  The matching stamp sets are pretty wonderful too.  The new ribbon is fab and the  Sweet Shop Product Suite is well....sweet!  Check out all the new products by clicking the icon on the right side bar and shop 24/7 at my website!

Have fun exploring and I will post a project soon!

A Tastey Treat for Trick or Treat!

What a great idea, small cellophane bags for giving treats.  Genius.  These are from our Holiday Mini Catalog and you get 50 of them for $2.50!  That's a lot of happy kiddos!  Like the sour cream container, these can also be adapted to the current holiday.  I used a retired set for the topper, but any small imaged stamp set with work.  Mine measures 2"x2" total, so that gives you some idea on size.  I filled the cello bag with Reeses Pieces, but anything small with work.  Order yours today and make some to hand out for Halloween!  Thanks for stopping by!

Halloween Sour Cream, Yumm!

Yumm!  This is my kind of sour cream!  The inside is actually filled with candy, perfect for giving to holiday guests.  I love this project because it can be suited to work for any occasion.  This one is for Halloween kiddos, but I could easily make a Christmas themed basket full of them for party guests.  The design is simple, a rectangle with adhesive on all four sides.  Roll to make a tube, seal one end, fill with treats, turn a quarter turn, and seal.  They can be made any size as well to fit any size treat!  LOVE IT!  Again, I used the Piece of Poison stamp set with Pick Your Poison DSP.  (It is the only Halloween set I own!)  The label is made using the Decorative Label Punch.  If you would like to purchase any of the Stampin' Up! products seen here, visit my website by clicking the "Shop Now" badge.  Thanks for stopping in!

Pressed Leather Look

Morning!

I saw this technique in the Stampin' Success magazine we receive as demonstrators, and I wanted to give it a try for a Halloween card.  When I finished, I thought it looked like pressed leather!  The picture doesn't do it justice.  I used the double embossing technique where you apply VersaMark ink directly to the Vintage Wallpaper Embossing folder before running it through the Big Shot  Then apply Black Embossing powder and melt it with a Heat Tool.  The result is shiny plastic between the raised design of the embossing folder.  Cool huh!  Well with this combination of Basic Grey CS and Black Embossing Powder, it looks like pressed leather.  Perfect for Halloween.  The stamp set used is Piece of Poison, and cool vintage set found in the Holiday Mini Catalog.  Give it a try!
